Empty an Option field doesn't save |

If you empty the text out of an option (either a 'text' or 'textarea'), it says 'Saved', but it hasn't. The old data is still in the database. |

Todo Manager |

A Todo system to let you track what you have 'todo' in the website.
While editing pages, or other tasks, an 'Add Todo' button on the main menu would open up a small popup or inline ajax form and allow you to add a quick text todo item and optionally attach it to whatever you're doing (eg the 'About Us' page).
Viewing the todo list would group them by page/plugin, then any uncategorised ones... would also allow deleting and editing, and assigning of priority.
Show high priority (or first X) items on the admin home screen.
Possibly...
* Allow to pop out the todo list in a separate bare border window to allow easy alt-tabbing to the list and back to Jojo when updating the site.
* Allow assigning of tasks to other administrators. |

Sitemap showing disabled content |

The sitemap plugin still shows content from other plugins (eg articles, gallery3) even if the pages for those plugins are not ticked to show in the sitemap.
Is this a feature or bug? I understand that it's the page, not the plugin, that you choose to be in the sitemap or not, but it doesn't make sense to have the plugin content still show if the page isn't. |

Upload failed using Flash tool |

When uploading images for files using the embedded flash tool the tool says error 404 and fails.
The Event Log shows a 404 error for http://www.projectmayhem.co.nz/actions/admin-upload-image.php?jqUploader=1&key=dc2ee83193c0b1b441f7e0b1748d4734f17e064e&folder=images
The admin-upload-image.php file is present in plugins/jojo_core/actions/

Constant Login Screen |

After setting up a fresh site and heading to the admin section, I'm prompted to log in each time I navigate to a new admin page unless I tell it to remember my password.
While it's easy enough to click Remember and then to Log Out afterwards... it'd be nice if I was remembered for the browser session automatically, as is normal expected behaviour. |

Possible Forum Registration Bug |

After registering for the forum, loggin in failed due to either being taken to wrong page after registration or to the post-registration login form submitting to the wrong place.
Actions taken (<page on after action>):
1. Navigate to forum (/forum/)
2. Click 'Register' (/register/)
3. Enter requested details and click submit (/register/)
3a. Page confirms registration, and asks for UN/PW to login
4. Enter new UN and PW, click submit (/register/)
4a. Screen shows a failed registration page |

Unable to upload images with embedded Flash tool |

When on the "Manage Images" page I am unable to upload images. JoJo reports a 403 but the permissions are correct. I haven't been using as many images as I would like to. I can always hard-code the images via the page content through HTML as a workaround, but it's time-consuming and cumbersome.
I tested the issue with 1.0a3 (as I'd rolled back from 1.0a4). Testing was conducted with MacOS X 10.5.1 using Safari 3.0.4 (build 5523.10.6) and FireFox 2.0.0.11 on an Apple iMac CoreDuo running at 2GHz with 2GB RAM.
Flash 9 is installed in both browsers and is used commonly, including with other file uploading tools such as those used by MediaMax.com.

It seems that when upgrading from 1.0a3 to 1.0a4 you are prevented from saving alterations to an existing user.
NOTES
* Individual installing noted issue and reverted. Not much testing done on the issue, but confirmed several times by user prior to reverting. JoJo demo shows no issue with this. |

Privacy policy, terms and conditions and the like are pages that have no need for being listed on Google.
The logic is that there is a certain amount of PR that a site has, and that should be used on the pages that need it most. While it is arguable good for such pages to be able to be found on Google if they were searched for specifically, there is no need to specifically give them Google PR.
There is also the option available to tell google to noindex the pages. Having a <meta name="robots" content="noindex"> on a page will allow that page to accrue PR, and to pass PR, but not to be cached in its own right on Google. I have personally not used this, but have been made aware of its use in the last week. Personally, I don't mind such fluff pages being listed, I just don't want to give them much PR.
Having a noindex in the robots.txt will still allow that page to be listed in Google, but on the basis of inbound links, and will list only the url. So this is not such a good option.
Therefore two check boxes
- nofollow links into the page (from menus/footers etc)
- noindex meta on the page

Set screen res to just smaller than 1024x768.
Go to edit pages.
Bring up a page with lots of text.
Click on bb or html editor field.
Use down arrow on keyboard to scroll down content.
Some funny horizontal lines appear on the screen, you can clear them by clicking outside the text box.
Happens in FireFox 2 and possibly others. |
